The Face of a Fighter, and Her Trainer

You are are looking at the face of a fighter, and her trainer.
Read the rest of this before you start sending emails saying, "C'mon Wide-Body, I see the picture of two hot tomatoes. Are they single and what is their number?"
If you are compelled to send me such an email, my response is:
1) The ladies are too pretty for you, Sparky. And they are married.
2) Don't even think about it. And you know what that means.
3) Who calls an attractive woman a "hot tomato"? The last time that happened was 1948.
This is a follow up to my "heros" entry and I wanted to get you folks up to date with some additional developments.
I also want to fill you guys in on some of the back story, the lucky of us who are friends of Michelle get the chance to see. In the picture you see the fighter, Michelle, on the right, and her sister, Tiffany, on the left.
Every great fighter has a trainer their corner who believes 100% that their fighter will win. That trainer practically lives though everything the fighter lives though. The lowest of lows and stratospheric highs. Muhammed Ali was the greatest of all fighters, but he still needed Angelo Dundee to his trainer in order to win. Michelle is fighting the beast known as cancer, Tiffany is her trainer, there for every punch, prepping her fighter to answer every bell.
God love you Tiffany, your fighter is still swinging and has a rock solid jaw.
Forgive me if I stay with the boxing metaphors (I'm a Dude, give me a break!), I see so many parallels between what Michelle is facing and what Ali faced when he went up against Geroge Foreman. The famous "Rumble in Jungle", Ali versus Foreman in Zaire. Foreman was the overwhelming favorite at 7 to 1. Foreman was a enormous beast who had won 37 of 40 bouts by knockout, and the previous 8 fights had never gone past the second round. While Ali had always been fast, Foreman was overwhelmingly powerful. But what Ali had was the will to never give up.
You've heard of "rope a dope"? Foreman delivered some serious damage for seven rounds, beating on Ali. Fans in the audience were screaming for Ali to defend himeself, to fight back. But Muhammed Ali and Angleo Dundee had a plan because they knew Ali was mentally tough, and he would never quit. By the eighth round, Foreman was spent, and Ali fought back.
"Is that all you've got George?"(bam!)(bam!)(bam!) "I'm still fighting, George" (bam!)(bam!)(bam!)
In the eighth round, George Foreman was on the canvas and Ali was victorious. The boxing world was stunned.
One of my favorite pics of Muhammed Ali. He could devastate another fighter. LOVE this pic. Can't you hear him saying "Is that all you got? Because I AM NOT GOING DOWN!" This is not from the Foreman fight, but it might as well have been.
Michelle is fighting the fight against all odds. I will not kid you, the odds are not very good. Yet there is something the odds makers bet against, there is still a chance to win, and Michelle the fighter and Tiffany the trainer know their fighter can win. Just like Ali showed in his fight against Foreman,
YOU NEVER EVER GIVE UP.
Odds still say you can win, and Michelle and Tiffany will.
Here is a pic of the fighter and trainer with their new do's. Like a said, the trainer lives every punch. I love it.

The fighter figuried that she might as well have fun with the hair before she loses it to chemo. Rock on, Chica.
I have more to add, yet this entry is getting a little long. Look for the next one as I want to talk about the event last week and how you can help yourself and make a difference.
